Aanand L Rai puts Ayushmann-Bhumi’s Manmarziyan on hold
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... The filmmaker has held heavy rains responsible for his decision
Aanand L Rai, who announced Manmarziyan with Ayushmann Khurrana, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar under his home banner Color Yellow Productions , has decided to place the project on the backburner for the moment.
Sources say almost half the film was supposed to be shot in North India, but owing to heavy downpour in the northern states, the schedule has been put on hold.

The filmmaker is also busy with the pre-production of his next directorial with Shah Rukh Khan -- the film in which SRK plays a dwarf. Under the circumstances, we hear, Rai has decided, along with the cast and crew of Manmarziyan, to not continue with the project for the time being.
Adds the source, “Rai never compromises on his vision and on the quality of his films . A major portion of Manmarziyan had to be captured in the Winter in North India and hence it has been pushed to a later date. In the meantime, he has decided to entirely focus on his directorial with Shah Rukh Khan.”
Manmarziyan has been creating a lot of buzz as it marks the second outing of Ayushmann and Bhumi, who became a hit pair with Dum Laga Ke Haisha (2015). The film also has Vicky, who was lauded for his performance in 2015.
In March this year, SpotboyE.com had told you about Rai ousting Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khuranna director Sameer Sharma from the project. Though Rai had initially chosen Sameer to helm Manmarziyan, the two developed creative differences and Rai handed over the reins of his film to Nil Battey Sannata director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari (Director of Ayushmann-Bhumi Pednekar’s Manmarziyan shown the door, mid-shoot, March 21).
After all this, it will be interesting to see if and when Aanand resumes this film.
